Environmental drivers of trace-metal bioavailability in an urban tropical lake, Lake Pampulha, Brazil
Résumé
It is essential to assess the impact of urban runoff and associated pollutants on receiving waters. Few studies focused on trace metals in the water column of urban lakes. Moreover, the metal bioavailability is generally not considered. We present here the concentrations of trace metals frequently impacting urban water bodies and their bioavailability in the water column of an urban tropical reservoir. We evaluate with a statistical model, the Random Forest model, the role of environmental variables on metal concentrations and their bioavailability.
